I am an aquatic scientist and environmental engineer passionate about healthy waterways.

I aim to lead by example combining science, research and engineering to improve the understanding and management of waterways.

I’m taking a sabbatical from my role as a Senior Aquatic Scientist at Melbourne Water to undertake a PhD. I’m investigating the optimisation of long-term river water quality monitoring data. In this project I am investigating methods to interpret data collected from long-term waterway water quality monitoring networks, characterised by low frequency of collection, sparse spatial coverage and “holey” datasets. I am using these methods to learn more about water quality dynamics and applying the knowledge learnt to optimise future data collection strategies.
